The Wolf (Prologue)
The alpha's voice rose above the others, "You may all be seated." The adult pack members all around them sat down, their breathe floated in the cold, winter air. Their eyes focused on the wolves in the front. The alpha began to speak again, "Today is a very important day. He looked at the woman holding his hands with a gentle gaze. Her sea blue eyes looked very determined, but he could almost detect fear in her gaze. "I believe it was the spirit of the wolf that led you to me. Never would I have imagined the things you have shown me since the day I was introduced to you. I believe you really were meant to be my mate and by mate, I'm also asking you to be my wife and this packs Luna." He looked at her nervously. "Please know, I would have never asked you this if I believed you weren't ready. But I know that you are a strong woman and you can handle anything and in my heart I believe there is nothing that you can't do." The woman looked at him. He could detect no fear, only a loving gaze. She stood with her head high as she established this new position. "I am honored to be your mate. Your words prove to me there is nothing else in this world that matters except my responsibility to my mate and our pack. I would be honored to be your wife and alpha." She blushed briefly at the applause from the people around her. He looked into her eyes and kissed her, briefly forgetting to wait for the howls. He grabbed her hand and walked down the aisle as his pack shifted into their wolf form and howled at their new Luna.
