The masked girl(chapter 14: in love man!!)
Anu was extremely happy. Grandma tells her to join the class after the festival. Anu's feet weren't touching the floor.
After a while, Dev and Ajay return home. They all cook, enjoy their day at Ajay's house. They leave for Varma mansion after dinner. Dev receives a call from Amar saying that Mallika had forgotten her phone and a bag full of fruits in their village bungalow . He asks Dev to get them all. Dev agrees.
The village was huge and was jointly built by both Amar and Surya. They named the house 'Mithra' (meaning friend) as a sign of their friendship. They always wanted to stay together there but had to move away due to Vijay and Vinod's job. They were staying together in that house till Anu was two.
The village was at a journey of an hour from Ajay's house. Dev was driving. Anu was beside him and Priya was in the backseat. Anu was extremely tiered and hence, slowly fell asleep. She was on Dev's shoulder by the time they reached the house. Dev was so happy and he couldn't stop blushing. Priya was also smiling. As Dev gives a smile to Priya she simply gets down, collects the keys from the Panchayat president (their neighbor) and gets the phone and the bag out. She locks the house again and hands the keys over to the neighbor.
Dev carefully drives back ensuring not to move his left shoulder much as Anu was asleep on it. They reach home. He finally wakes Anu up. She was still in sleep and was unable to walk straight. Dev holds her arms and slowly takes her up the stairs. No one except Mallika notices them. He makes her sleep and covers her with a blanket and silently goes into his room.
He still was blushing.
He looks at himself in the mirror first, later his left shoulder and smiles to himself and says, "Ah Dev! In love man!!" keeps smiling. His every meeting with Anu since she was here was continuously playing in front of his eyes like a movie.
Mallika enters the room with a glass of milk. She notices Dev's actions and says, "She's wonderful! Isn't she?" Dev replies "yess!!" and finally realises what he had just said, "no no.... Nothing like that! " says he trying to correct himself.
"It's alright Dev. You can't fall in love with a girl at your grandpa's age. You must do it now. Get to know and understand her and then go tell her all your feelings. I'm with you and I can help you as well! Anyways, first things first. Have this milk and sleep tight. You need to attend college tomorrow." She gives him the glass of milk and leaves. She was happy for both of them and genuinely in support of Dev's love.
