After deciding to write the story for the competition, dozens of ideas began swirling in my mind. This story wasn’t just for a competition; it was a crucial decision that could change my life. It took me a while to decide what to write, but eventually, I started crafting a story set in the Middle Ages. A society oppressed under a powerful regime led by religious leaders… and a brave female protagonist who stands up against this regime. One evening, sitting on the balcony of my house, I watched the orange and pink hues of the sunset dance across the sky, trying to organize the ideas in my head. A light breeze touched my skin, and the aroma of smoke rising from my coffee filled my nose. This heroine, instead of silently accepting her fate, was rebelling against the regime with writings she brought from different countries. Her bravery reminded me of my own struggles in life. However, the most challenging part of the story was conveying the love between the heroine and the painter. The woman, focused on her country’s dire situation, was reluctant to accept love.
