"Just us," she said. "Against this cold world".

I held her left hand and wriggled it in mine.

"I wish I didn't leave you for that beast of a man," she continued.

I didn't say a word, but gave her a firm grip.

I discovered she was getting cold. I knew her enough to notice that merely looking at her skin.

I removed my shirt immediately and covered her.

Drawing her closer to me, I held her very tight.

She looked at me and tried to mutter some words, but I shushed her.

Made way through her hair with my hands and landed a soft peck on her forehead.

She couldn't stop the tears rolling down her cheeks.

"I love you so much, brother," she managed to say.

"I love you more," I said and hurried out of the scene.
