The masked girl(chapter 10:RJ Naina)
As they reach home, they see a black car in front of the gate.
'Oh gosh!! What is this lady upto now?' said Dev to himself. But, his voice was so loud that Anu heard him. "What? Who??" asked she.
He takes her inside through the backdoor and tells her to sit silently in the kitchen till he comes back.
He normally enters through the front door and sees Maya's father there. He relaxes and goes into the kitchen, takes Anu and both of them go upstairs.
"Why did you hide me?" asks she. Dev makes her sit on the sofa and says, "I thought it was Maya. A stupid lady. She feels she is the most beautiful and expects me go crazy for her and stay with her like a puppy. I'm sure she will create trouble for you as I am friendly with you. So, I took you away from her. You need not answer her and her friends. That girl Keerthi is also her detective who is behind you."
"We can speak to her …." says she. He just interrupts her ,"Anu……" "Okay okay, I won't " says she lifting both her hands, giving surrender pose. Dev walks a few steps, turns back and says, "Finish all your work today itself. We will have fun this weekend."
Anu smiles and says "okay". Dev leaves.
As Anu checks the time, it was 6:20pm. Anu rushes to her room, and switches on her laptop. "It's better I go to the terrace. Priya may return anytime…" says she to herself and runs to the terrace with laptop and headphones. She sits on the floor and logs in to the radio station account and within no time, she goes live.
"Hello guys! This is RJ Naina with you. Along with lots of gossip, I've got some news from our side for you all! I, Naina will now catch you all on Wednesdays as well, at the same time!! So, don't forget to stay tuned! Let's talk about going to new places and finding new friends today…." and her show went on…
Something that she didn't know that Dev was her fan as well. He was in his room and listening to her show.
Half an hour later…
"Well, it's time for me to say goodbye and let's meet again on Wednesday! Before I go, I would like to give you the task of the week.. Tell me about new places you visited and new friends you've made on our page. keep listening to your favorite FM for happiness, peace and entertainment! See you all…A aa…. I mean, hear and speak to you all… on Wednesday. This, is your RJ Naina, signing off…" and went off air. "Done for the day!" says she to herself and comes downstairs. She leaves her laptop and headphones in her room and as she comes out, She sees Dev, Ajay and Priya coming out of Dev's room.
"Anu, where were you, I came to your room but I didn't find you…" says Ajay. Dev unconsciously gets jealous of Dev as he was asking her where she was before him. "At the terrace… I went to get some fresh air."
"How many bags?? How much did it cost?" asks Dev seriously and smiles mischievously.
"Like... seriously...." says Anu.
"Guys, did you notice something... Anu and Naina's voices are similar.... Infact, same" says Priya. "Her topic of the day is also relatable, shifting to new places and finding new people "says Ajay.
'My head! Why won't it be same and relatable when it's the same person…' says Anu in her mind and questions "Who's Naina?" She was quite confident of not being caught. "She is an RJ of whom Ajay is the biggest fan of.... infact, all three of us like her" said Priya. Anu was happy.
"I'll tell Naina about my new friend then" said Ajay. All of them said at once, "who?" "Anu" said he and went away.
Anu's phone started ringing continuously again. She immediately mutes all notifications from her blog and the FM app .
"Why does your phone just go on continuously...? " asked Priya. "Never mind. Probably a glitch" replied Anu.
All three of them go, have some snack and immediately sit down to work. Anu finishes all the work for Monday by dinner time. After dinner, Anu opens her blog in her laptop and reads the comments for her previous post. She thanks her fans for their valuable comments and opens the chat box and goes through the conversation amongst her fans finally replies, 'It's real and life itself is making me write all this...'
Abhi comes into the room and asks her cutely, "Anu, are you done with your homework? Can you help me with mine?"
"Sure, my Vicky" says she and both of them sit with his work. After a while, Priya calls Anu up and asks them to come to the terrace as everyone were watching a movie there. Anu tells her that they would be there after Abhi's homework is done.
They both also go up after some time. It's late in the night (around 1am) by the time the movie was over. Dev tells them that he had made plans to go to a waterfall nearby for picnic the next day. He also tells them to be ready by 11am in the morning. All of them disperse and get back to bed and Dev carries Abhi to his bedroom as he was fast asleep.
