mi'corazon: The setting was perfect. Candlelight, polished cutlery and a cluster of roses set in a delicate gold and jade vase at the centre of the table. Beside the sea, a nice cuisine with a strong presence of an Italian, French styled aura, a bottle of champagne, a reserved signed card and here we were sitting face to face.
I was confident yet nervous but I managed to hide it behind my beating heart and my smiling face as you laughed as we talked about the movie we had just watched and the jester who happened to be your favourite act while I jested about the man who was caught up in the act till he fell from the podium and how he really seemed to get us all laughing, One could tell at that moment we were happy, yes I was, you was too...
Somewhere in the shadows, this music played on, welcoming sudden freckles of emotions down my spine and one could tell you had that same feeling too as you then eried "Oh! baby that's my song, our song" and you started out swaying gracefully to it's rhythm at that I laughed , you did too...
We were in love, I knew that yet, numerous thoughts kept flying through my mind as I pondered deeply on my words again as the waiter brought desserts of Oreos, chocolates & strawberry parfait of which I'd requested in secret that the ring be put innit then I summoned some courage, stood up and excused myself to the podium while you watched with keen interest, I guess you almost could feel, what was coming and somehow I could say I felt your heart already smiling, heaving a sigh some relief,
