Three childhood neighbours, Peter, Lily, and Jean, grew up together and shared many memories. Even though the three were the best of friends, Peter and Lily had deeper feelings for one another that they never expressed.

Jean was always happy for them, knowing that Lily always thought about her first before considering Peter's feelings. Despite her happiness, Jean never had the courage to do what Peter did and ask about Lily's feelings. In turn, Lily never had the courage to express her own feelings.
