Letter to my sister

Hi Sis,
It's been a year of CHANGE for me,
a year of NO turning BACK.

I thank our heavenly Father who lead me to you,
to show me the way,
the way out of the darkness,
to be set free FOREVER.

I fell down, way deep.
I wanted to get up on my OWN,
and got up ...

So I thought ...
But than you came,
a phone call,
a lot of spoken words,
a lot of whatsapps.

And there he was again;
the dark side.
He played again with my heart;
Bitterness, tears of sorrow, pain and shame.

Our Father was waiting for me,
He was calling on me.
He used you,
to lead me to your brother.

Your brother, who also became my brother
when I opened up my heart for Jezus Christ.

Slowly I got stronger,
I became patient,
I felt fearless for the first time in life.
I became thankfull again, more than ever before.

And I got the best Father's day gift ever;
I got ACCEPTED in the ARMY of CHRIST.

And when my grandson was born,
I felt an indescribable LOVE.
A Love that could only be described through Jesus.
A Love so awesome I don't want to ever get rid off.

I thought I could do it on my own.
I was to proud to ask our Lord to help me,
to proud to accept Him as THE Saviour,
that only through Him, I could find peace and joy.

But I learned that with God above me,
Jesus beside me,
and the Holy Spirit within me;
I fear NO more,
I am ashame NO more,
NO more tears of pain,
NO more sorrow,
NO more stress,
NO more bitterness ...

Instead I only feel;
Freedom,
Thankfull,
Love,
Strong,
Hope,
Peace...

Thank You Father
for sending me my sister to find You again.

Thank You
for providing me with new brothers and sisters.

Thank You
for letting me experience Heavenly Love through my grandson

Thank You,
for my wife and my family, who always stood by me.

Thank You
for Your mercy.

Be our Guide, our Guard and our Flame today,
in 2018,
in the year after and through eternity
in Jezus name!
