The Railway Show
On June 28 1945 There was a railway show held over in London England. All of the engines will be competing in each competition that would be the best colored engine, the shunting engines, the strongest engine, and racing. Alots of engines came from all over the world to compete in each competition there were American locomotives, British locomotives, African locomotives, Indian locomotives, China locomotives, Mexican locomotives, all were steam and diesel, standard gauge engines steam and diesel, narrow gauge engines steam and diesel, broad gauge engines steam and diesel, and a lots of people came to The Railway Show to see which engine is the best engine 4-8-4 came along with the New York City diesel, a diesel shunter, and The Flying Scotsman made it just in time to compete with the other engines at London. The engines started competing the first competing were the best colored engine the engine that won was the F7 diesel the diesel was colored with black and white stripes a lots of people loved that one. The next competition is the shunting competition a lots of steam engines tank engines and diesel engines were there it was time for the competition to start all of the engines started shunting. The diesel shunter wasn’t going as fast like the tank engine was when it was all over the winner was the tank engine from America. The next competition is the strongest engine alots of big engines were ready to start the competition it was time to start all of the bigger engines started moving but there was a problem engine 4-6-2 had burst a safety valve so that engine isn’t no longer in the competition when it was over the winner and the strongest engine was 4-8-4 another engine came to take engine 4-6-2 to the works to get repaired. The final competition is the great race all of the biggest engines were lined up to get started racing the first engine on the first track is The Flying Scotsman that goes 100 miles per hour, next to that one mallard the streak streamlined engine that goes 126 miles per hour, next to that is engine 4-6-4 Hudson that goes 55 miles per hour that tries to beat the other trains that it meets in it’s on grace, and lastly next to that one is The City Of Truro that goes 102 miles per hour. Soon the race started all of the engines started racing each other but then something terrible happened The Flying Scotsman had lost it’s tender by racing when people saw it they started freaking out about the situation because they never seen something like that happening before. All of the engines were still racing but The Flying Scotsman had stopped because it had lost it’s tender and the engine couldn’t go no further without it’s tender. When the race was over the engine that won the race was The City Of Truro and that’s all for today’s Great Railway Show.
