Write a short story from your past that involves light or darkness in some way.

What does it mean when the heart flutters suddenly? It happened as this man past me by, walking aggressively in the opposite direction from where I sat. We were at the train station so it was not unusual for his pace to be in such a speedy motion, but it was like he was taking my heart with him as he walked away. Like the flickering of a flame, I could feel my heart beating against my chest. Was this what love felt like? Is it true? Could someone fall in love at first sight? Slowly rising and trying to gather my thoughts, I took off in the same direction but as I turned the corner he was gone. There had only been one time in my life I had felt that feeling before.
