Ruined house but not ruined soul

The old house stood dilapidated and full of memories. I was standing looking and trying not to lost in those memories, memories where some days were good, some were bad. I alomost killed myself in this house if not my brother who made me understand importance of life. He said to me "They can take away everything from you, make you miserable but there is one thing that they can't take away from you is you, only you can save yourself by standing strong and face them, be strong my sweet little sister, I am there with you, you are not alone." Those words gave me courage to live and move forward.
Now that i look at the falling house, I can say that i made it, i didn't let myself fall like the house, my brother was right they can take everything away from me, but not myself. Thank you brother for being there for me.
