Chapter 10 continued:
Kai waits patiently outside the bathroom door, listening to the sounds coming from inside. Something is wrong, he can sense. He never seen you like you just were when you came home. It worries him.
This must be connected to those nightmares she's having. And that voice she spoke about hearing when she first used Dranzer. I know it's connected. But how? As he sits there pondering of these events he hears a thud from inside the bathroom. Immediately on edge he gets up and listen more closely.
Cornelia. He calls out to you. When you don't answer he gets worried.
Did she faint? He scratch on the door and call for you again. No answer. He knows she can hear him, so why isn't she answering. Just then Tala walks down the hallways and spot him.
"She's just taking a shower. Do you really want to join her then too?" he asks, pretending the cat can understand him.
No. something is wrong idiot. She's not answering. As Kai hisses and growl at him and scratch on the door, Tala seems to take the hint. A glimpse of worry passes over his face before the cold expression returns. Still, he walks over to the door and knock.
"Cornelia. Is everything okey? Cornelia?" you don't answer.
"Cornelia answer or I'm coming in. Cornelia." He tries the door it's locked.
"Cornelia!"
CHAPTER 11:World Championship
"Cornelia! Cornelia answer! Corneila!" you wake to the sound of Tala yelling your name and hammering on the bathroom door. It takes you a moment to realize you've fainted in the shower. Your head hurts and you can feel a small bump forming.
"Cornelia! I'm coming in." upon hearing Tala say this you're suddenly wide awake.
"NO! No Tala I'm okey really. Sorry I just blacked out for a moment." You shout back, slowly getting on your feet.
"What do you mean blacked out. Open the door." The red head demands. You turn of the still steaming shower and wrap a towel around yourself. Then you walk over to the door and unlock it. Almost imidiately it's ripped open and outside stands Tala with a serious expression on his face. Kitten Kai is by your side in an instant.
"What happened?" He demands to know, you give a light smile and pick him up.
"I'm sorry to have worried you, but I just blacked out for a moment. Probably because the water was too hot." You explain. Both the kitten and the other male stare at you, almost examining you.
"Don't lock the door from now on. In case it happens again. You can get seriously hurt." Tala grumbles before walking back to his room and closing the door. You simply blink after him.
You quickly get dressed and return to your room with Kai. You drop down on the bed and gently rub your head.
"You hit your head huh. You okey?" Kai asks as he jumps up on the bed and sits beside you.
"I'm okey. I guess I just pushed myself a bit too hard." You say and give him a small smile. He looks at you for a moment before letting out a small sigh.
"How long do you plan on lying?" he asks. You look surprised at him.
"Everyone already knows of the nightmares. And quite frankly I'm starting to think it's something more than just dreams." He glares at you.
So they already know. You look at him for a moment before you give in and tell him all that's happened. Once you're done, none of you say anything for a while.
"This is connected to the championship somehow." Kai finally says.
"What do you mean? How can that be connected." You ask sitting up on the bed.
"Not sure. But the closer we get to the championship the more intense these visions get." He states. Both turn silent again.
"Should I tell the boys?" you finally ask.
"No, not until we understand what this is." He says looking thoughtful. You nod.
"What do you think it is? Something symbolic?" you ponder out loud.
"No I think it's very concrete actually. By what you explained it might be a bitbeast."
"A bitbeast? But aside from that shaped figure in my last dream I haven't really seen anything. Just felt it." You reply.
"Yes, but that's often how it begins." Kai explain, thoughtful now.
Is there something he isn't telling me? You wonder looking at him.
"For now you should get some rest, there's only a few more days until the championship, so you should prepare yourself. I think these visions might get more intense once it does." He states and look at you. Simply nodding in reply you lay down and close your eyes. It's first now that you feel how exhausted you really are after today's happenings. It doesn't take long before you're deep asleep. With Kai carefully watching over you.
Tala closes the bedroom door behind him and let out a sigh of relief.
