[Prologue]

Qhicy's mind raced as she struggled to make sense of her surroundings. "What... what just happened?" she murmured, her voice tinged with disbelief. "One moment, I'm speeding downhill, wind in my hair, and the next... this. Where am I?" The air felt heavy with history, the walls whispering secrets of centuries past.

Annie's voice broke through her thoughts. "You're awake... Stay here and I'll inform the duke," she said, her tone urgent.

"No.. wait..." Qhicy pleaded, but Annie had already vanished, leaving her alone and bewildered.

"Where am I?" she whispered to herself, her eyes scanning the ornate furnishings of the room. "And based on the structure of this house... Am I in a historical period? The 1800s?"

Meanwhile, in the shadowy depths of the Dark Tower, Commander Von's frustration was palpable. "We traced the magic, but I suddenly disappeared in the foggy forest," he reported.

"Disappeared, you say?" Zlix's voice dripped with intrigue.

"Yes," Commander Von confirmed.

Zlix's eyes glittered with interest. "Interesting. I didn't expect that a duke would be interested in such a pilgrim."

"Should we--" Commander Von began, but Zlix cut him off.

"No. We'll wait until she willingly comes to us," Zlix declared, his tone final.

"But how?" Commander Von asked, his brow furrowed with concern.

"Just wait," Zlix replied with a sinister smile.

Back at the Guerrero Mansion, Annie delivered the news to her lord. "My lord, she's awake," she said, her voice tinged with urgency.

Cloud took a long drag from his cigarette, his expression inscrutable. "..." he exhaled slowly, his mind already calculating the possibilities.
