The footsteps following me sounded closer. I ran through the empty corridors of the hospital, my heart pounding with terror.
I turned a corner and stopped short. I had reached a dead end.
Turning around silently I knew not what I might see. What hideous creature was causing the sound of the footsteps behind me? I slowly turned around feeling the cold wall that may have sentenced me to my death. My head lowered and my closed I could feel my body trembling in fear all over as I tried to get my back as close to the wall as I could. I took a deep breath ready to raise my eyes and face the fear of what was chasing me. Raising my head I opened my eyes slowly. Nothing but darkness and a little pale light from the windows down the hall. There was no one. I started breathing frantically. I was paralyzed by fear. Where was he? Had I imagined this? I let out a long breath and closed my eyes. Suddenly I felt breath on my neck. I could feel my eyes start burning with tears as I started to whimper. Turning my head I saw no image just two blood red eyes right by my face. I let out a huge blood curling scream then everything went black.
