Forest Of Stones and Bones pt.1
The baby would not stop crying, nothing they tried could hush the baby boy. The she-wolf stepped closer, sniffing at the distraught little child. He looked to be not more than a few moons old. He still smelled like the blood of his mother, but where she might be was beyond the wolf. Her mate began to nudge the boy with his muzzle.

"Oen please don't upset him anymore. He has been crying for hours. I'm surprised the humans haven't come for him sooner with all the noise he is making."

"I'm just trying to calm him down. Maybe he just needs some affection."

"Well he's still crying Oen."

"I'm doing everything I can."

The she wolf snorted. Once again this night she ponderd what exactly to do with the child. She knew what Oen wanted. He wanted to take the boy with them. Something they'd already done once before, and not without consequences. They had been cast out from their family, forced to take care of the human child. A littl girl they had found much like the boy, abandoned on the edge of where The Stone Forest and Luna's Fingers met. She would be twelve winters old now. They had left her behind in the cave they had been using for shelter for some time now. It kept the girl safe, even though by this age the wolves had taught her enough that she was capable on her own for a period of time. She looked back to the crying babe. Oen stood over him, his eyes boring into his mates.

"Well Shira, what do we do?"

She could feel the emotion in the way he talked. He was already becoming territorial, standing over the boy and glancing in all directions, his ears in the swivel for any danger. She thought of the little girl, a human amongst wolves. Shira had always wondered how she felt, looking and sounding so different from the souls you are bound to. She thought of the way Oen was already latched to the boy. She sighed a long sigh, one of sadness and of exhaustion. She would do it. Again. She prayed to the Gods for wisdom and strength before she announced her decision. Oen gave a low whine desperation, waiting for her answer. She looked at him and said what she hoped she wouldn't regret.

"Lets take the boy, Oen."
