Open your eyes and see our Mother is in pain
On August 15, 1947, India woke up to freedom. I am proud to be Indian because of our country’s achievements in space and missile technology. India is the only country where there are people of different languages (22 languages), religions and race, but all of them live together in harmony. There are variety in cultures, lifestyles, cuisines, climatic conditions, scenic beauty, architecture, traditions. It is rich in tradition and heritage. It has a great ancient civilisation. Democracy, intelligence based on our high standards of education, our natural wealth, harmony, festivals, family, system, caring for the aged, service and sacrifice really make me proud.
But the present situation has become totally different, and has become dire. The joy and pride of my heart are slowly getting lost. Why??? Because my Mother (my Country) is in trouble. She is very sad to see her children behave like this. The riots between Hindus and Muslims, due to jealousy, anger, hatred, anarchy, cruelty, doubt, insistence, ego, mislead and many more, are killing Her day by day. Can any Mother be at peace watching two brothers fighting with each other? Everyone has born in the land of this country through same and equal way, so where was the discrimination between people at that time? She has never taught us to do so. At present people are forgetting that they are 'human beings' first. Everyone is blood red it has no religion no caste. God is one. He didn't say to draw a line between the religions. These are also not mentioned in any of the holy scriptures. Rather, He has taught us non-violence in every ages. It is we who have created these religions and ethnicities. It is we who have raised the walls of war between ourselves. For ages we are following misconducts and are being immersed in superstitions. All of these are increasing terrible distance between us, as a result, 'Sin' is being created. Why are we forgetting that we are harming ourselves only, losing unity day by day and due to this outsiders may get opportunities??? Any type of wrong provocation of the people can destroy the country. Once destroyed, the soil will be removed from the bottom of our feet, shelters will be lost. Then we have to beg for love, happiness and peace. Whenever I think of those pitiful conditions, tears comes out from my eyes.
Bengali poet Sunil Gangopadhyay said, "It is man who saves people, again it is man who kills people. Humans are the cause of division between Hindus and Muslims while again humans can erase the lines of these divisions". So true. Now we have to make each other understand that 'Action is big, not the Religion'. We are the only ones who can tie these broken relationships or 'brotherhood'. These are only possible through love, kindness and faith. Chandidas quoted, 'human is true above all, no one is above him.'
Hindu, muslim, christian........they asked; Upper - lower.......some persisted; Gender..........was explained!!! And Mother nature mentioned in acute of her voice, "I made you human". So come let's change our thinking, remove all the hates, burn all the negativities between ourselves and awake our true humanity. Let's get United. We have to prevent deaths from consuming us. Save India, Save lives, Save blood.
