Rabid (GORE)
Roxanne walked down the streets of New York City. The cold winter air pierced her nostrils, she was headed out to meet her girlfriend when a dog raced in front of her.
Its teeth were sharp, and it slobbered as it skidded to a stop in front of Roxy. Roxanne, who was a Canine Biologist, recognized the breed as a mutt. Some sort of mix between a jindo and a bulldog.
The dog's mouth foamed, and its eyes were clouded and white, Roxy backed away slowly, she hadn't recognized what this dog was.
As she backed away, she noticed no tag on the dog, but she did notice the foam. Suddenly she realized. "Rabies." She whispered.
Roxxy turned and ran, she knew it was wrong as she ran but fear pushed her forwards.
The dogs got breath on her heels made her fun even faster, her legs felt jello as she turned down an alleyway.
The dog kicked up dirt as it chased Roxy down the brick-surrounded alley. As she turned the corner she slammed into the wall and fell to the ground.
There was a ringing in her ears, and she rubbed her forehead to find blood pouring down.
The blood blinded her in one eye, and the ringing was deafening. With only one eye to see it was hard to look around.
The dog came up from her blind spot and bit down on her leg. Her calf felt like fire as the mutt shredded her leg into rips and tears.
A pool of blood formed underneath her, and she tried hitting the dog blindly, but she bit down on her hand.
"Help me!" Roxy screamed as loud as she could, kicking the dog away with her one good foot.
"Help m-" She screamed in pain and horror as the dog bit down on her throat and a bone broke out from her spine.
The blood drowned her, and she lay helplessly as the rabid dog ate at her leg.
"Hg-he-hep" She tried to tell for help, but it was too late. Blood bubbles up from her mouth and she lay on the ground.
The ringing had stopped and she knew it was her time. The last thing she heard was the scream of a woman.

Roxanne's Girlfriends POV:
Layah checked her phone. Roxy was late, by ten minutes? Layah knew Roxy, she was never late. She started to feel panic rushing through her, so she got up and put her phone in her pocket, and headed off towards Roxys house.
Five minutes down the road, she heard a muffled, echoing scream of a woman.
Horrifying thoughts filled her head as she raced down the alleyway, she saw the bloody, gruesome sight before her and yelled at the tom of her lungs.
People came up behind her, and as if at a signal they all ran in unison at the dog. Without any more injurys the dog was killed by a few larger men.
Layah hovered over Roxys lifeless body. She pulled out a small, velvet box from her pocket.
A wedding ring.
