Today, I had to start searching for a new job. Not having a car, put me in a position to seek employment close by! Of course there's public transportation but to me, that an inconvenience! There's rain, waking up late and finding something on a transit route. I don't mind using it, until they start running late. Once I caught pneumonia because it was cold and raining. I prefer something I can get to on my own.

My work history is no where consistent as far as working in the same line of work. I grew up being taught to but build fences, lay carpet and carpentry. I am no stranger to hard work! Life can have twist and turns in and mine had just begun. Just a year earlier I had worked at the diner just across from where I lived. That didn't last long, so I started at a local fast food joint. I work there because my ex was the manager and offered me a job.

That wasn't the best idea, considering we broke up while still working there. Come to find out he just wanted to keep a close eye on me. I didn't like being in his shadow, so I transferred to a location near my residence. For whatever reasons, he followed me there as well. His mom, then went into the Janitorial business and asked me to join the crew. My mom, had just referred me a position as security for concert events. I begin working both, considering the security was part-time and event based.

The year before we had a very bad car accident and I was still in litigations with the insurance company. While we were broken up I received a settlement! I had then purchased a car but it needed some work done to it before I could get it on the road. On my off days I put as much time in to getting it on the road. Finally got it ready, so I got another job as a delivery driver for a pizza place. At this point I was employed at three jobs. We had been working together and fell back in a relationship. This was the beginning of the end.

To make a long story short, jealously and money destroyed all my hard work. I ended up losing all three jobs and totaling out my car because of him. Love can make you do some crazy things. Now, that I have you caught up, this is where the story begins. I just wanted to give you some background on what led to this. This is where my new job search without a car all begin. Because of the car accidents I decided to go without a car for a while.

Today, I woke up motivated to pull myself out of the worst situation I had thus far. I remember placing an application at this restaurant up the street. The fact it was a year ago didn't phase me at all. Something told me to call the restaurant first! When I called, I simply asked, "Or you all hiring"? They asked, "have you put in a application". I simply said, yes! The manager then ask me to come in for an interview.

I hope you like soap operas because this place was the source of my story. You remember the game, (Never Have I Ever)? Well you are about to play!
