Bloodbath (Updated Version)
A faint glow of the moon glistens in my eyes and hits the frame of my bed as I fall into it, pulling the heavy blankets. I have a headache, and my stomach is doing summersaults, twisting and turning as I close my eyes. I feel others’ eyes on me, but yet I begin to drift into sleep. Everything is blackened as I drift off. Until exactly 1:31 am. I hear heavy footsteps outside my window rustling in the leaves. I jump up, my heart beating fast, as I peek out my window. It was too dark to see, but I could see movement. Movement coming toward me. Before I can even turn, shattered glass from the window falls on my face, grazing my cheek as a dark shadow lands on me with a large crashing sound. My head spins, and my voice breaks, as I try to yell. I swallow only to taste blood. Blood. My heart pounds against my chest and ceases into a faint humming sound. I sit up, however, it’s all a blur, I can’t see my feet, I can’t see anything, all I see is light, I feel a heavy hand grasp my head, and then, one flash of blood makes it all stop.
