Niru: Deforestation is the process of clearing of the trees.

Niru:Men are cutting down trees in large number to get more land to live on and to grow crops.

Niru:Trees are very essential for us to survive on the earth. The plants fulfill all the basic needs of the human. Besides, plants purify the air by absorbing Carbon di Oxide gas and releasing Oxygen. Trees also control the water cycle and protect the soil from erosion.
Nitti:How is deforestation harmful?
Niru:The wide scale deforestation has already effected the environment posing threat to human kind. If it goes on unchecked it will tilt the ecological balance.

Niru:We should not destroy the trees and plant more trees.
