He was posted in our school to serve as a youth corper and as life would have it he was my neighbour at home.
It all started with going to his house after school so he can help out with some of the assignment I found difficult. Then it escalated to casual visit even tho there were no assignments to be done
It was a relief for me to see that at least I can have the attention of someone .Someone to listen when I can talk, someone I can share my innermost thought with.
Oh money, had it been you didn't steal their attention, they could have noticed my constant visit to his house and cautioned me.
Can I ever forget this day Saturday 17th April 2010.
One of my casual visit to his house to find company landed me beneath him.
Didn't know what came over him that night but right there in his parlour he raped me.
He kept apologizing for what he did before he left but the deed was already done.
I hold no grudges against him , I have forgiven him long time ago. All my anger is channeled towards that man called "MONEY".
Do you know how many children out there are suffering from one abuse or the other because of their parents attention have been stolen ?
Parents and guardians please be mindful of this silent thief called "Money" . Yes , he pays the bills but always be in control and not him controlling you
Every child out there deserves quality love, care and Attention❤️❤️
