Chapter 2
The Law

It has been centuries since the new system was put into place and the excitement of a new queens birth had our world buzzing. Days turned to weeks which turned to months, then years and the excitement turned to worry for the new queen had not been brought forward yet.

The new queen, or princess, are to be brought to the palace once they're born and the mother is able to travel. The princess and her family then live there for as long as she lives. It is illegal to not bring the new queen to the palace. There are severe punishments for breaking this law. However, because of the importance of the queen they're not kept from her. They are given restrictions during their lives at the palace.
