And then you were gone 😔
Well, it's the last day of 2021. It began, at home, because of covid rules. I had a bag of Christmas gifts for Mark and Bella, I had no car, so even if there were no covid rules, I couldn't of gone anywhere. Mark was my ex, and Bella was our dog. I was a crappy dog owner, my Anxiety made me hate taking her for walks, she was crazy. If she saw a car coming, she would run for its wheels, and other dogs would make her crazy, barking as if she was going to rip them limb from limb, when in reality she was a little dog. She would bark wildly and jump up at other dog owners with her muddy paws and their disapproving looks would say it all. "Can't you control your dog?"
Mark lived in a shared house in Harrogate, one of the houses where everyone had problems, drugs, alcohol, family problems, problems with the police, formerly homeless, mental health problems and more. The landlords don't ask for a bond or references, they put a roof over the heads of people who otherwise would have nowhere to go. These houses are both a blessing, and a curse. Nobody wants to be homeless, so they are a blessing, but also a curse, because in many ways, it's like filling houses with children, with no responsible adult to steer them in the right direction, and make sure they all play nice, and that they're ok. Of course, these were adults, and as an adult, you're responsible, and accountable for yourself.
Mark was a one off, they broke the mould when they made him,and there just isn't enough time to go into his life story, so I'll take you to where we were.
Mark was an alcoholic, who had spent many years of his life abusing his body with drugs...
