The old woman was near death. I could hear her try to draw in painful gasps of breath. I felt helpless as a doctor in this remote part of the world.There nothing I could do?
I stood helpless trying to think of my next move,she needs to survive,How can I give her first aid without any first aid equipment.
looking arrond me a started to wonder what in the world I was thinking about while driving that I knocked down someone so vulnerable.
"Ma'am",I mumbled as I knelt beside her,
Man I was wasting a whole lot of time.With the look in her eye you would think she had died but she hasn't.
I carried her into the car not minding how heavy she was.
Starting the engine,I drove at top speed like nothing happened.
On getting to the hospital she was rushed into the emergency ward.And that was when I noticed how badly I was sweating,how fast my heart was beating,how my head was spinning and how badly I felt like passing out.
