My life as an introvert part 1
Do you how lonely it is wanting to share your story and not having the confidence to?Then that's my life.
I was born in a remote village somewhere in Kenya.
My life began as normal as yours did but my confidence level was zero.
I joined preschool and turned out to be a very cleaver kid. My class teacher was so proud of me that she'd make sure everyone knew I was her pupil.
My problems started when my teacher and fellow school mates learned of my character.
The teacher would just tease me "you quiet girl don't you talk? or are you having problems with your mouth"
The pupils would laugh so loudly taking that as joke. I would feel like evil laughs covered the air, I used to cover my face and lie on my desk . That was my safe space since all the world seemed to be dark to me.
I remember the pupils would snatch my pencils or shoes so that I could talk. They'd run round the compound laughing ,in cahoots they'd say" look at her so embarrassed she can't even defend herself"
My life in that school seemed like a living hell since nobody seemed to care. They all ask me why I couldn't just defend myself,if I was dumb or something. All I wanted was someone to hold my hand and pat my back telling me I could do it and my worth was greater than my fears.
As most kids be ,i had unarranged dental formula, so that played a major part in my insecurities journey. The other kids would say"why are your teeth not aligned?"
I can't blame them tho since it's a norm in kids just to speak their minds. My younger brother just made my days in school easier when he joined . He would beat any one who disrupted my peace. He would make sure nobody made fun of me so my confidence level rose by a certain percentage.
