Listen Truth is different and being honest is different. When you be honest with people and they realize it is correct that outcome/realization is Truth. It is upto them whether they accept it or not. Unless they accept your honesty it is not Truth.
When you be honest with people, you have to understand one thing, it Is not your fault for their sadness or even for their happiness. Honesty is more like opinion they asking from you. If you want to be honest even before they not prepared for it then make sure they accept it. If they won't then it's better to apologize for the moment, someday they'll apologize after the realization.
Sometimes Lieng is not bad, but it depends on what situation you are at. If you Lieng without any good reason then the final outcome will be regrets and for them sadness.
