A GENTLE DOORWAY by Bhengu SS
If death were a gentle breeze,
A soft goodbye, a moment's peace,
If it didn't ravage those left behind,
Would I choose to fade, to slip away in vain?
Would I surrender to the night,
To escape life's fleeting, flickering light?
If grief could be laid to rest,
Would I bid farewell to life's turbulent nest?
Perhaps the answer lies within,
In life's moments, joys and struggles to win.
For death is but a doorway wide,
To a life beyond where souls reside.
So, if death were a gentle sleep,
Would I depart with heart at peace and deep?
No regrets, just a peaceful shore,
Where love and memories forever roar.
