#innocence

"Innocence is a virtue which humanity has long ago forgotten and discarded (maybe) owing to the decadence of moral values in their civilization. The virtue of innocence is the virtue of truth, because the innocent ones do not know at all how to speak a lie. So in the tides & ebbs of the rising & falling moral standards of human civilization, there must most likely be sparse epochs, at least in few places around the world, during few periods in history, among few cultures in which moral standards must've somehow risen and truth alongwith the sway of innocence must've achieved preponderance in such societies and cultures. It is only when the moral standards of any particular society, culture or a nation deteriorate does it start festering with decadence of corruption, greed, selfishness, and the likes, during which falsehood becomes a norm, and truth alongwith innocence is overshadowed under the web of lies. It is such decadent societies (like the present one), in which the innocent ones are preyed upon by the selfish ones, in various nefarious ways."
