the prayer made obligatory to Mohammad( may Allah please with him) in the night of ascenstion, where the prophet visited heaven and spoke to Allah directly.

Initially, the number of the prayers were meant to be 50, and this number was lowered to 5, then Allah said:" O Mohammad, my word is never changed this 5 prayers will be continued as 50".
