Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “He who wishes to have his earnings grow (and be blessed) and his term of life prolonged, he should keep ties with his kin.”

(Bukhari, Bulugh Al Maram, Vol. 16, Hadith 1253)

Maintaining family ties is so incredibly important in Islam and we know sometimes it's difficult. You're constantly fighting your ego, your nafs but remember each time you want to pick up your phone to call a relative, Satan will always try to put doubt in your mind but always remember your reward is with Allah. So today, reach out to a relative, someone you haven't spoken to in a while and see how they are. May Allah bless you for trying :)
