Devil's Bet
When I was young, I made a bet with the devil: my life or his, and the duel began. Back then, it was easier when he'd sing and dance my end. The older I got, the more I thought I wasn't going to win. I sang along as I was lost to his song, 'they'd miss me if I were gone,' and the faster his pace got, the darker it went.

The more powerless I became, the deeper he'd reach, building worlds of endless space where even the sun and moon preached. But, it occurred to me it was hate I followed. Choosing love over me was how I would break free.
