Half of a Year
Poem no. 5

Of shores we'd come by once for semester
But sinister be the darkness to sequester
And a mask do barrier our bodies better
Yet still a horror as fear progresses bigger
Now dillydally be us in cages as we muster
For a panacea that should be given sooner
Shall we not and the surges grow faster
Hath we gulped in six months of sad letters

Now besought for our own systemic creeds
Riots of our own blood as we hath decreed
And bewildered is a pantomime be sullied
And to fruition be a foolishly paltry reed
While truth becomes a character for weeds
Inequality sings our hymns that hath disagreed
And to realization be our mistakes indeed
Cut a cycle of repeat, as we want and need

Now for death speaks and still runs bleak
If callous eyes weep, ink spills the peak
And fooled be us and audiences'll keep
Records of misconduct as for a year to leap
And forward will be backward as we seek,
For unity's quite late and built hopes meek
Satisfactory we proceed, and now will a beep
Of a future time verbalize our closed beaks
