Mr. Burden
I never had a feeling like this,
craving to offload you.
I was cold and alone outside,
crying and praying, but nothing!
See, I never liked you,
but we got comfortable together,
until ghosts of tomorrow came,
and spooked you to leave.
This day,
guided by a shiny star,
I'm letting you go.

O' Burden!
I know,
you desperately want me,
to overlook the gift I carry,
and extinguish the fire that burns
inside of my big heart.
I have seen your
gloomy, despondent, frantic part,
that begs to stay
but I'm letting you go,
although I won't be the same,
without you to blame.

Pardon me for telling your secrets
But I've seen trouble with you,
I've shed tears more
than any other human,
my heart fears your claws
that stole my smile
and replaced it with bile!
I know you're weary,
that's why I'm letting you go!
