How This Will End (A 101 Dalmatian street poem)
The brief inner thoughts of two Dalmatian step-siblings and the hidden feelings they have for one another, as well as those of their onlooking family. Affection, hesitation and frustration...in free-style poetry form~
I don’t know how this will end.
I don’t know even how it began.
Was it that dorky smile of his?
I know of thrills.
I know of excitements.
I am no stranger to the adrenaline.
I’m a friend to a speeding heartbeat.
But when I see his smile.
The way my heart pounds is like no other.
And it just seems to never stop.
Why can’t I make it stop?
Do I even want it to?
We’re nothing alike.
I’m the wind and he’s the mountain.
I’m the waterfall and he’s the lake.
Yet just like a waterfall, I fall just for him.
And he’s always there to catch me.
Why?
He has all the right to hate me.
For every rule he makes, I break it.
For everything he builds I tear it.
Why does he not hate me for it?
I wish I’d hate him sometimes.
Just so I could stop wanting his smile.
I wonder if he knows.
That when I hold him, I don’t wanna let go.
That every thrill in life, I want to share with him too.
Because I want to make him smile.
That dorky smile of his.
Oh, please, someone tell me.
How will this end?
Will he find out and reject me?
Maybe its best he never knows.
Please someone tell me how this will end.
So my heart can stop hurting when it pounds.
Every time I see his smile.

I don’t know how this will end.
But I think I know how it began.
With that infectious laughter of hers.
I know of diseases.
I know how to avoid them.
But this I was powerless to avoid.
Because I let it infect me by choice.
It gets harder to hide its symptoms.
I almost want to stop doing so.
Let her see what her laughter’s done to me.
So she can give me the cure.
How did I let this...
I don’t know how this will end.
I don’t know even how it began.
