The Truth, he is a bad man
He will track you down

Corners you in corners
where you don't want to be found

Ties you up in your excuses
And makes you confess
Turns a spotlight on you
and shows you
that you're a mess


The truth shows you your ambitions
and your put down life


the way you water down your mistakes
and lie to your wife

It will expose your fairy tale beliefs

and what you want to hide

It will hurt you
Then will heal you
Truth is on your side


Nobody wants to hear it
Truth is what you avoid

You fight it with poetry
and other weapons
to seek and destroy


Like a stealth bomber flying under the radar

it will shoot your monsters down

It will deliver you from the trouble in trouble town
.
The Truth shows you dark side that you need to fight


It finds out
where the enemy is and puts out his lights


The Truth is really your best friend

Not someone to disrespect

And if somebody kills him
He'll just
resurrect .
