Empty chip bags from a pantry and half a trash bag full of cans, broken blades from a ceiling fan, nothing new for a garbage man, I've seen it all when it comes to waste, broken lawn chairs to fresh tooth paste, half full jars of strawberry jam, another day for a garbage man, I've dumped out complete sets of dinner plates and once a box of new cassette tapes, a heavy cast iron cooking pan, just the local garbage man, I don't sit and drive the truck, I'm the guy that walks and picks shit up, dumping trashcan after silver trashcan just your neighborhood garbage man, we collect everyday of the week, except Sunday like God we sleep, and dream of warm beaches with white sand and Monday I'm back to a garbage man, rain sleet snow or sun, the garbage truck will always run, sometimes even on a holiday, for half the work and double pay, so remember while taking your trash out, we're somewhere around town no doubt, and we do the very best we can, I hope you appreciate your garbage man.
