Something is always missing
In my life, yes it's a puzzle.
The pieces were scattered so far,
It almost took me a lifetime.
Place by place, I went searching for them
Piece by piece, I fit them together.
A missing piece is all I need now,
To make my life complete.
Now as I lay here, on the lawn of my grandchild's home,
Too old to search, looking at the blue sky,
I remember you, from one of my journeys.
It is quite confusing, why my forgetful brain
Never let me forget you.
Was it because I had fallen in love with you
yet never admitted?
After all these years, as I close my eyes, maybe forever…
I wonder whether the missing piece is you…
