Let me crash and burn myself alive,
so I can descend into another terrifying level.

Let me stroll through every circle of hell.
I've become accustomed to its scorching weather.
I enjoy the acid puddles beneath my feet,
because it makes my sole as tough as leather.

Watch me claw myself out someday,
I always emerge wiser under pressure.
What you interpret as dirt and misery,
is only a catalyst to become even fresher.

If you think I should be fazed
by your exposition of my ways,
Please reserve the judgement
for the pedantic face in the mirror.

I'm the only one tipping the scales of my life.
The only person that can accurately measure.
