Closure
I never thought this day would come,
When I'd have to say goodbye,
To something I longed for in life.
A feeling, a spark,
To make my heart flutter, and my breath run short.
A small act of kindness,
And gentle touches.
I never imagined this day would come,
When these feelings would seem unwanted, and beyond reach.
A breach of contract,
All made up in my mind.
I may not remember this day in a few years, just the thought could bring me down to my knees,
Even when these feelings have faded.
Can we ever truly let go?
Is it possible to find closure in the face of loss?
I don't know,
I want to believe that it will all go away
Or so I hoped.
But what I'll always remember , even if my affection was never returned,
It won't stop me from trying once more.
