I can’t keep crying over things that I can’t confirm,
I can’t keep trying to hate you when I can’t help being concerned,
I can’t keep loving you when the only thing you bring me is hurt,
I can’t keep caring about you when all you do is make things worse.

I can’t keep expecting better because I’ll only let myself down,
I can’t keep switching between wanting to save you or just letting you drown,
I can’t bring myself peace when I can still feel how much you ache until now,
I can’t help but wonder if things are really over now.

And I can’t help but keep silent about what I want to say out loud.
