First Time For Everything
Yesterday,
I felt the feel of a gun for the first time.
It was scary,
I honestly froze.
But the funny thing was that,
I wasn't afraid.
The thought of death,
It didn't scare me like it should have.
All I wanted was for my mom,
The only one I'm currently living for,
To be safe from danger.
I threw myself in front of her,
And thankfully,
She's okay.
But this encounter,
No matter how unfortunate it was,
Just cemented how impressive I am,
About death and life.
At least I'll be in peace
And will finally rest.
