My heart is tangled in a stormy sea,
A love so deep, but still confuses me.
I hold him close in dreams that never fade,
Yet wonder if it’s love or just a masquerade.

He’s far, beyond my world and reach,
A stranger, rich and foreign, like the tide on a distant beach.
God whispers, "No," yet my heart won’t let go,
Caught between what’s real and what I’ll never know.

I hurt the one who holds me tight,
For a fleeting shadow I chase in the night.
Can I ever forget, can I ever be free,
When love and longing are all I see?

If I marry another, will this feeling die?
Or will the thought of him still make me cry?
A battle within, my heart torn apart,
Between a fantasy and a guarded heart.

Perhaps in time, these feelings will fade,
But until then, in this storm I’ll wade.
