A Slight Lean
As the world slowly tilts on its axis,
Our perspective quietly changes,
Not abruptly but gradually with its nuances;
We not sensitive enough to our surroundings,
Continue on with daily routines,
Not taking the time to truly pause.
So busy with the mundane tasks,
We miss so much of the wonders,
Their continual growth and slight changes;
Stop, breathe in, exhale, look around,
Un-busy yourself, look around, observe,
Light around us angling differently.
Notice the subtle changes in temperature,
Light diffusing through window glass,
Positioning differently in the sky;
All because of the continuing slight lean of the Earth revolving around one Star.
