Cage in worry and fear
Mankind goes to the bar to grab a beer
because betrayal is near
Alcohol gives a brief solace
Then the monster restarts the race
hunting the specks of hope with disgrace
At that moment it looks like a plus
but in reality a lost, stranded bus
of the same old feeling in surplus
A subtle, silent, soul-draining killer
It makes man laugh like a winner
It causes a hero to be a loser
The luring friend of money
It tastes like honey
but a venom of the human journey
It doesn't matter the amount of beer
booze, your mind will not be clear
Life will still be a rotten pear
Don't let it take over the light
Make sure the night is bright
Alcohol is a deceiver of might
Break from this clever bondage
Stop being a self-created hostage
and turn a new page
