" Refugee "

It's not my fault
It wasn't in my hand either,
'The partition of my country '.....
I was two when
My parents came here.
And I loved this soil
To me, my mother land;
As I grew here -
The rivers and vale,
The mountain and sea
Failure in love and
Even my unemployment!
Joys and sorrow
Everything I loved.
And suddenly one day
'A bolt from the blue '
The doom passed upon me
Forced to be an emigrant,
Have to leave my native land.
Still, I must say -
I must implore
It's not my fault,
Do listen my entreaty
A little compassion,
I don't want to be a refugee.
