Breathing Deep
Remember days of morning talks,
You slowly turned to morning walks?
Lattes free of any cost,
Just for me you saved a lot.

In the dawn I walked alone,
But in my ear I had a home.
All those tears to live again,
I never knew you well back then.

All those drinks to numb the nerves,
To get the love I had deserved.
And those trains you'd take once more,
To come and join me in the dawn.

Summer rise had shaken me,
To all these days had come to be.
Yet again the change is due,
And here's a life I never knew.

But in my ear and in my mind,
All those words are dear and kind.
Silver waves you call for me,
To live the life I failed to live.

Loving deep and never low,
To speed things up or take it slow,
There is rock beneath my feet,
I am breathing oceans deep.

I feel currents in my heart,
You're a father full of art.
All those colours in your hands,
Without a canvas in your plans.

I could draw you in my room,
And bring a canvas to the moon,
And in the silence say the word,
This is me, the little girl.

You would love me like I'm yours,
Painting pink on all my doors.
A letter box and new address,
Until I slowly learn to rest.

You could teach me many things,
Create some music without the strings.
Smiling wide, no reason for,
Those massive savings, we fight no more.

Start afresh with just a few,
You know I never saw a queue.
Blended hues from sky to sea,
To live the life I knew could be.
