Once upon a time,
Not a long time ago,
After a big war,
A group of men
From different regions
Felt like they had an obligation.
And decided to meet and write
agreements about what was wrong
and what was right.
Representing the universal recognition
Of freedom and the right to life.
These agreements were called
The International Human Rights
They signed it all together
For a better world
And as this was not enough
They created the international
Humanitarian law.
So, in case of conflict,
Civilians, prisoners, and
Medical staff,
would be respected
And protected above all.
But after this was established
They completely forgot it all
And now, everything seems to be
Just out of control.
