The Traffic Light
On the pavement here I stand,
as the traffic signal showed a red hand,
others too, stood along with me,
gazing at the light, anonymously,
it's here, we all tend to stay along,
around chaos, from where we belong,
while we never knew, one another,
we played pause, in our own character,
while the wheels rolled by, on the busy street,
our destiny stood idle, on our feet,
some felt calm, in this waiting race,
and some felt grumpy, at this place,
these lights, won't stop us forever,
but make us play by the rules, in order,
let's appreciate the time, we pacified,
to a better life, awaiting the green light.
