To The End
I have often dreamed
Of a place so far away,
Where these weary hands could be received
And laid down next to the stars darkening array.
Across the icy sea,
At the edge of the world, or so they say
A place where from sorrow I could be free
The waves beckon, crashing over me.
In the night I still remember,
When the sun has lost his place in the sky
To mourning stars and forgotten embers,
Still I can see you standing there in my eye,
Fading...
Of a place so far away,
Where these weary hands could be received
And laid down next to the stars darkening array.
Across the icy sea,
At the edge of the world, or so they say
A place where from sorrow I could be free
The waves beckon, crashing over me.
In the night I still remember,
When the sun has lost his place in the sky
To mourning stars and forgotten embers,
Still I can see you standing there in my eye,
Fading...
