The applause died down and the
room was now empty,
Complete silence around me,
whilst earlier the murmured words
and gasps were plenty,
I acted out an entire one woman show
on this stage tonight,
Everyone complimented
my acting skills unaware that
this was my reality, my never-ending fight
Every tear I cried on this stage and
every scream that came from me,
The attempt at ending it all,
The pain, the anxiety

I heard someone whisper
"Imagine if this was real?"
I wanted to leap off that stage and
scream in her face,
